The World in which we live is, to say the least, a world of great troubles, trepidation, and despair: social and political polarity, home- grown terrorism, assaults for sport—or for no reason whatever, sexism, racism, and myriad other “-isms” that antagonize someone’s “me”-ism, hatred, and violence, to list but a few… Such a world condition cannot sustain.
So, We The People must change the contemporary dynamic. The Haiku poems that follow center on a multitude of problems and dreads that are part and parcel of today’s world. And those works included, with a few personal entries excepted, strongly advocate for some
much needed positive changes.  So, my message is this: Mankind can and must change the status quo…

Or there may not be “tomorrow” as we know it.
